The climate path in the Northern Landscape of Industrial Culture is supposed to showcase the implementation of renewable energies on a regional scale. It creates a close link between our responsibility of avoiding climate change (mitigation) and the necessity for a new energy policy. The climate path lies within the first large-scale nature conservation project situated in an old-industrial region and thus funded by the national government as a model project. The climate path connects two main landscape labs of this project as well as two large regeneration sites – the old mining areas Göttelborn and Reden.

(1) Solar energy in Göttelborn (2) Geothermal energy in Reden (3) The role of forests and biomass
