As part of the east London greenspace project C-Change has been part of an amazing new garden, right next to the Olympic 2012 site. Find out more about the garden, watch the new film here.

Dalston Up Front
Paved front gardens have become increasingly common in London often because they don't need any maintenance, but they are bad news for biodiversity and increase the risk of flood. Dalston Up Front will help bring life back to the streets of Dalston.
This strand of the Green Doctor project supports residents in improving front gardens in the St Mark’s area in Dalston. This improves the streetscape for everyone who lives or works there. In partnership with social housing providers we identify residents who need support to manage their front gardens and link them with neighbours who want to volunteer to improve their local area and learn new skills. Residents are supported in designing, creating and maintaining their gardens with a skilled community gardener. We also help participants to gain a deeper understanding of climate change issues and how their own gardens can be adapted to mitigate the effects of urban heat, help conserve water, increase biodiversity and much more.
