For the second summer in the C-Change project, the Climate Change Summer School is underway. Last year in Summer 2009 a group of international students came together to ask; what makes this landscape a 'regional park'? The people, the physical landscape, the public image, a combination of all these factors and more? They also investigated how climate change impacts on the landscape of Park Lingezegen, now and in future years.
This year's summer school is continuing to develop and research these themes. Check back soon for more on the 2011 activity shortly.
Performing Arts in Park Lingezegen
During June and July 2010 a theatre company, De Plaats with a cast of 250 has brought Park Lingezegen to life with music and performance across the landscape. This unique performance entitled, 'Eiland Batouwe' has been a celebration of a unique landscape threatened by encroaching cities, motorways, railways and climate change. Discover more about this performance, visit the De Plaats website.
