Groundwork is working with Brent Planning Service to create a pavilion in Brent River Park as part of a larger River Restoration Project in the borough.
In July 2010 CEN produced their feasibility study into the use of renewable technologies within the pavilion's design. They focused on solar photovoltaics, wind turbines and micro-hydro power. Brent is also working with the Environment Agency to also incorporate SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage) solutions. Download the CEN renewable energy feasibility report.
The pavilion will act as an outdoor classroom to demonstrate sustainability incorporating the use of sustainable materials, the micro generation of power and sustainable drainage. Download the pavilion design brief.

The pavilion will be opening in the park in early 2012. It will be the focus for community events, including the demonstration of renewable energy technology. For further information please contact Gillian.desoyres@groundwork.org.uk
